Begin with observation.
Herbal extracts bring another set of materials and preparation methods into natural farming. ONE is Aloha Organic’s herbal nutrient blend. Its making begins with separate herb preparations that are later combined, giving each ingredient time in the process.
The related CTAHR publication describes a preparation called Oriental Herbal Nutrient, or OHN, within Korean Natural Farming. It discusses herbs such as garlic, ginger or turmeric, cinnamon, licorice, and angelica, and explains the separate extraction stages. We preserve that original publication title so the source is easy to recognize and find.
ONE is Aloha Organic’s own Indigenous Herbal Nutrients formulation, shaped by the crops we grow and the place we call home. All of our garlic and ginger come from Maui, and we include ʻolena, or turmeric, alongside the ginger. We grow these crops ourselves and use our own harvests in the blend. This connection to our crops, together with our own approach to the formulation, gives ONE its distinct Aloha Organic identity. The CTAHR publication offers context for the wider practice; it does not describe our exact recipe.
This is agricultural reading about a particular preparation. It offers a way to understand how herbal nutrient preparations are made and how they fit beside other inputs. Botanical knowledge deserves careful attribution, and the source’s methods provide a useful place to begin.
From practice to source.
