Care that
carries forward.

Ulu Ka Honua was an Earth Day 2021 campaign centered on a simple act with a long horizon: planting ʻulu, or breadfruit. The original invitation encouraged people to plant or sponsor trees and groves, and to share the experience with neighbors and family.

The campaign connected food security with the creation of more local food producers. Its Oʻahu listing named Hui Aloha Aina Momona as a community partner, and its wider vision imagined community spaces and available land becoming places that grow food.

This page preserves the purpose of the 2021 initiative. For present-day planting collaborations or ways to take part, contact Aloha Organic to connect the history with what is happening now.
