We are a non-profit organization empowering communities through feeding the world Aloha. We’re you. We’re a group of farmers, construction workers, scientists, homemakers, activists, business people, government officials, moms, dads, aunties and uncles, and brothers and sisters, and everyone in between. We know the importance of local food systems, sustainability, and resource preservation, now, and for the future. Our goal is to reunite the land and the people in health and harmony, creating and preserving a sustainable indigenous food system.

About Us

Our Brief Story

The most recent iteration of our story begins around 2006 with the building momentum of Hawaii’s indigenous food movement correctly centered around Kalo, or Taro. As the change and demand for natural indigenous foods grew, so did the need to develop aligned and healthy farming protocols utilizing indigenous wisdom. The founding members met and built relationships over the years at activist, cultural events, indigenous agricultural activities, and natural farming symposiums, classes, and conventions. The growing demand for healthy, natural food needs farmers and organic indigenous food production. This system tried and true since the beginning of people, will bring us back to our roots so we can grow forward together, and healthy.
